What We've Implemented
Keyboard Navigation
We aim for all interactive elements — navigation menus, forms, buttons, and portal controls — to be operable via keyboard. Focus indicators are designed to be visible. Known gaps are tracked and addressed in ongoing remediation.
Screen Reader Compatibility
We use semantic HTML, ARIA labels, and landmark roles throughout our platform to improve compatibility with assistive technologies including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver. Testing is ongoing and some components may not yet be fully compatible.
Color Contrast
We target WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). Our dark-theme interface is designed with high-contrast foreground elements. Some muted or decorative text may not meet this threshold and is being reviewed.
Text Resizing
Content is designed to remain readable and functional when text is resized up to 200%. Some complex dashboard components may require additional work to maintain full functionality at 400% zoom.
Alternative Text
Meaningful images include descriptive alternative text where implemented. Decorative images are marked appropriately. We are actively auditing all pages to ensure consistent coverage.
Form Accessibility
Form inputs are associated with visible labels where implemented. Error messages are designed to be descriptive. We are working to ensure all forms meet WCAG 2.2 AA requirements for error identification and suggestion.
// Known Limitations
Areas Under Improvement
Some secondary text and grayscale numeric labels on mobile viewports may not meet the WCAG 2.2 AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1. We are systematically reviewing and updating these values across all breakpoints.
Some complex data visualisation components in demonstration environments may not yet have full screen reader descriptions. We are adding ARIA live regions and text alternatives.
Certain animated elements use motion that may affect users with vestibular disorders. We are implementing a prefers-reduced-motion media query across all animated components.
PDF documents in the resource library may not be fully accessible. We are working to remediate these documents to meet PDF/UA standards.
Chart and graph components do not yet provide full text-based data table alternatives. We are adding accessible data tables alongside all visualisations.
